Blind Ambition PDX Dragon Boat Team
Welcome paddle sports fans, friends, family and supporters!
We’re Blind Ambition — the first visually impaired dragon boat team in the U.S. to compete equally with sighted teams.
And we’re on the first leg of our most important race to date …
Earning our way to China to race in the Spring Festival.
We’ve been invited by the Chinese government to race in China in June 2010. We’re honored to be invited and we want to accept this amazing opportunity to promote the abilities of the blind/visually impaired BUT, to go to China we have to raise $45,000 to pay for travel, accommodations, and other necessities for the team and our equipment.
We’re asking for your help. This is an unprecedented chance for our home town — Portland, Oregon — our friends, family and supporters to help us showcase the abilities of the blind/visually impaired on an international stage.
You can help by:
- Donating to the team
- Sponsoring Blind Ambition
- Attending our fundraisers
- Sponsoring a table, donating a dessert, or bidding at our upcoming Dessert Auction
- Spreading the word to everyone you know on Facebook and Twitter
Will you help?
Many thanks to our Dessert Auction Table Sponsors and Dessert Donors! Extra special thanks to Shanghai Noble House for their generous contributions as our event venue.
